Third-Party Scholarships

Currently, TCMFI does not provide financial aid or accept FAFSA.

However, scholarships from third-party organizations are accepted, such as the ones listed below.

Career Source Scholarships

Treasure Coast Medical and Fire Institute is an approved Training Program for Career Source Research Coast, a third-party funding program. Their funding is awarded based on need, availability, and several other factors.  Career Source provides scholarships to EMTs (must be 18-24 years of age) and Paramedics.

The Community Foundation provides multiple scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors and adults looking to upskill.

FAEMSE Foundation​

The FAEMSE Foundation awards EMT scholarships of $250 and Paramedic scholarships of $500 twice a year. These scholarships will be given directly to the students and can be used as the student chooses.​

NAEMT Scholarships

Members: The NAEMT offers scholarships to NAEMT members interested in advancing their EMS education. Scholarships are available for the following categories:

  • First Responders (To become EMT-Basic) - Four scholarships each in the amount of $500

  • EMT-Basic (To become EMT-Paramedic) – 3 scholarships each in the amount of $5000

  • Paramedics (To advance their education in the realm of EMS) – 4 scholarships each in the amount of $2000

Non-members: The following scholarships are available for individuals wishing to attend an EMS school or program to become certified as an:

  • Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Amount of Award: up to $1,000, based on the cost of the EMS program and one-year NAEMT student membership. â€‹

Florida Fire Chiefs' Foundation​

The Florida Fire Chiefs’ Foundation has created a scholarship program that is specifically intended to provide financial support for individuals who cannot otherwise afford to attend an approved Florida Firefighter Minimum Standards and related Emergency Medical Technician certification program.

The Michael J. Latta EMS Scholarship Foundation grants scholarships each year to individuals emulating Michael’s character traits of work ethic, dedication, energy, and enthusiasm, who wish to attend school to become Paramedics.
